  • A recent operation in Northern Virginia successfully targeted MS-13 members and other offenders, enhancing public safety.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed Tuesday that ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations have been repeatedly sabotaged by leaks. Despite these challenges, Noem emphasized her commitment to continuing these enforcement efforts, calling out the leaks as a significant threat to law enforcement safety.

Last week, Noem revealed that the DHS had identified some of the individuals responsible for leaking critical operational details. She stated, "We will not be deterred by leaks," highlighting her determination to address this issue. Leaks have already disrupted raids in Aurora, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California, putting officers and public safety at risk.

Noem Points to FBI as Source of Leaks

Previously, Noem accused the FBI of being the source of these leaks, labeling the agency as “corrupt.” Speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity, she confidently stated, “I have found some leakers. We are continuing to get more. They will be fired. There will be consequences.” Noem also stressed that leaks jeopardize law enforcement lives. However, it remains unclear whether the identified individuals are indeed connected to the FBI.

On Tuesday, Noem commended law enforcement for a successful operation in Northern Virginia. She tweeted, “We will not be deterred by leaks. If you come to this country and break our laws, we will hunt you down." This operation targeted MS-13 members, 18th Street gang members, and sexual crime offenders, ensuring safer streets in the region.

Migrant Insider Publishes Leaked Details

Ahead of the raids, the Migrant Insider disclosed detailed information about planned operations, including the locations of ICE enforcement activities. The outlet’s editor, Pablo Manriquez, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the agency had secured up to 100 judicial warrants, enabling entry into private homes. He listed areas such as Buchanan, Arlington, and Rosslyn among the targeted locations.

Manriquez dismissed concerns about the leaks jeopardizing law enforcement safety. He told Fox News Digital, “We break immigration news all the time. We follow this topic closely and haven’t seen any reports of ICE being harmed.” His comments sparked debate about journalism ethics and public safety.

Noem Stays Firm on Immigration Enforcement

Despite the leaks, Noem celebrated the Northern Virginia operation’s success. She tweeted, “Northern Virginia is safer this morning after a successful operation getting criminal aliens and gang members off our streets.” Noem praised the bravery of enforcement officers, reiterating her stance on strict immigration enforcement.

President Donald Trump also prioritized immigration enforcement during his administration, setting a precedent for the DHS’s ongoing operations.
