In a sharp critique delivered on Tuesday evening, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. didn't hold back in his assessment of former President Donald Trump's debate performance, proclaiming Vice President Kamala Harris as the definitive victor.
The debate saw Harris and Trump exchanging barbs for over an hour and a half, during which Harris adeptly provoked Trump into divulging personal complaints. Notably, Trump even propagated an unfounded claim concerning Haitian migrants in Ohio engaging in pet theft and consumption. Despite Trump's assertion of having had a successful evening, several conservatives expressed disappointment over his showing.
Kennedy, who had previously contended for the Democratic nomination against President Joe Biden but withdrew due to Biden's reluctance to engage in debates, embarked on a short-lived independent presidential campaign. He eventually ceased this effort and threw his support behind Trump, who has vowed to include Kennedy in his transition team should he secure victory.

During an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of Your World with Neil Cavuto, Kennedy argued that Harris outshone her opponent considerably. "Vice President Harris clearly emerged as the winner when it came to her presentation skills, her finesse, her structured approach, and thorough preparation," Kennedy stated. Although conceding that Trump might have had the upper hand regarding policy achievements during his tenure, Kennedy criticized him for failing to communicate these successes effectively.
The opening question of the debate presented an unmatched opportunity for Trump to showcase his administration's accomplishments by asking whether Americans were better off than they were four years ago—a question that Kennedy believed had a strong affirmative answer based solely on policy impacts.
However, Kennedy attributed various societal issues like escalating costs of living, increasing rates of suicide and drug overdoses, along with conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza directly to the mismanagement by Biden and Harris. "These adverse outcomes are direct consequences of the lackluster leadership from the Biden-Harris administration," he pointed out. This line of reasoning was what Kennedy believed Trump should have emphasized; however, distractions led him astray from delivering what could have been a compelling argument for his presidency to the American populace.
What are your thoughts on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s assessment of the debate and his views on the Biden-Harris administration's leadership? Do you agree with his perspective?
