During his visit, Trump took on the role of a fry cook, an experience Vice President Harris has frequently mentioned during her campaign. Following his stint at McDonald’s, Trump continued to an evening town hall in Lancaster and later attended the Pittsburgh Steelers game against the New York Jets.
Trump’s involvement at the fast-food chain extended to working the fry counter and distributing meals at the drive-through window, announcing them as “compliments of Trump.” This gesture was not just about engaging with potential voters; it also highlighted an everyday job that 1 out of every 8 Americans has held at some point in their lives.
Derek Giacomantonio, owner of the McDonald’s franchise where Trump volunteered, expressed pride in welcoming all members of the community into his establishment.
