As the song progressed, Kid Rock urged the audience to clap along. Displeased by the lukewarm response, he abruptly stopped the music. “Hey, hey, stop,” he said, according to fan-captured footage. “If you ain’t gonna clap, we ain’t gonna sing. That’s how it’s gonna go.” The band reluctantly paused as Kid Rock tried to guide the audience in clapping.

When the crowd’s participation still didn’t meet his expectations, Rock cut the music again, shouting, “You know what? F— y’all. If you ain’t gonna clap, I’m gone.” Without further explanation, he stormed off the stage, leaving Bryan and the other band members visibly confused. After a brief pause, the band continued the performance without him.
Bryan Enjoys Celebration Despite Drama
Despite the disruption, David Bryan remained in good spirits. He later posted on Instagram, sharing a clip of the performance and thanking Big & Rich singer Big Kenny for joining the celebration. “THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES,” Bryan wrote. “Rocking at @jbjsnash last night with @bigkennytv!”
Kid Rock’s behavior comes just weeks after his performance at President Donald Trump‘s inauguration weekend event.
