• Rep. Jasmine Crockett criticizes Trump supporters, accusing them of ignoring facts and choosing ignorance over education.
  • Claims Trump’s policies prioritize wealthy allies over his voter base, leaving others with broken promises.
  • Applauds Canada and Mexico for resisting Trump’s trade tactics, calling his administration a “crazy regime.”

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Tx., launched a sharp attack on supporters of Donald Trump during her appearance on “The Breakfast Club” last Friday, accusing them of refusing to educate themselves and claiming that “racists” back “other racists.” Crockett’s heated remarks underscore the growing divide between Democrats and Trump’s voter base.

The progressive congresswoman invoked Trump’s infamous 2016 comment about loving “the poorly educated” as she argued that many Republican voters choose ignorance over facts. “This isn’t shade—these are facts,” she stated. Crockett alleged that these voters deliberately avoid engaging with information, adding, “They don’t want to read or enlighten themselves.”

Crockett Targets Republican Self-Interest

Crockett further accused Republicans of selfishness, stating, “People vote in their own self-interest.” She claimed voters aligned with Trump based on racial solidarity, only to find they were overlooked by him. “They thought, ‘We are all the same,’ but the reality is he is a rich racist looking out for other rich White guys—not the rest of y’all!”

She warned that Republican voters are now seeing the consequences of their decisions. “As you lose your job, your Medicaid, and your farm, you’re realizing he wasn’t fighting for you,” she declared. Crockett also dismissed promises of financial relief with phrases like “We’ll give you a $5,000 check,” saying, “I don’t see it happening right now.”

Lawmaker Criticizes Trump’s Foreign Policies

In another conversation, Crockett expressed support for America’s neighbors, Canada and Mexico, amid Trump’s aggressive trade moves. She highlighted their resistance to his administration’s tactics. “I’m rooting for Canada and Mexico because they are speaking truth to power,” Crockett said. She even applauded their bluntness in dealing with what she called the “crazy regime from Mar-a-Lago.”

Crockett’s remarks reflect a growing progressive frustration with Trump’s policies and the voters who support him. However, her tone risks alienating moderate or independent voters who might find such rhetoric divisive.

What’s Next for Trump’s Base?

While Crockett’s comments have stirred controversy, they raise broader questions about the disconnect between political leaders and voters. Her accusations of ignorance and selfishness may resonate with some, but they also highlight the challenges in bridging divides across America’s political spectrum.
