The accusations against Kingston and Turner are far from minor. According to witness testimony cited by XXL, Ariel Mateos, a business owner, claimed Kingston purchased a 232-inch television valued at $115,000. However, Mateos alleged that while he received a $30,000 down payment, Kingston used fake wire transfer receipts to avoid paying the remainder.

Dennis Carr, Mateos’ attorney, described Kingston’s alleged tactics when authorities raided Kingston’s home: “He puts on a big show, saying he works with Justin Bieber. He uses his celebrity status to convince people to release items, but he never pays.”

In addition to the television, Kingston is accused of fraudulently obtaining a Cadillac Escalade worth $159,701.49 and jewelry valued at $480,000.

Courtroom Developments

The court narrowed down jury selection to nine women and four men, setting the stage for intense testimonies. These proceedings will likely delve deeper into the alleged fraudulent activities and their impact on the victims.
