Prominent figures and lawmakers have amplified calls for answers. At the recent Conservative Political Action Conference, billionaire Elon Musk questioned the lack of information about Crooks. Musk specifically criticized the FBI’s handling of the case and suggested FBI Director Kash Patel should lead efforts to uncover the truth.

Representative Clay Higgins (R-La.), a member of the bipartisan task force investigating the incident, has voiced skepticism about conspiracy theories. Crooks’ parents, Matthew and Mary Crooks, have remained silent since the attack. They have refused interviews and reportedly live in isolation, leaving their home only during early morning hours.
