Welfare Check Leads to Tragic Discovery in Florida

The case began in Pinellas County, Florida, when deputies responded to a home on Saunders Avenue for a welfare check. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, a caller reported that a resident had failed to show up for work. Upon arrival, authorities found 53-year-old Elizabeth Kirchner and 64-year-old Steven Kirchner deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.
