- Conservative voices are now calling for Republicans to move past the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, with Dinesh D’Souza and Charlie Kirk aligning behind President Trump’s calls to shift focus. The pivot reflects broader MAGA priorities and a growing effort to unify messaging ahead of the 2026 midterms.
PALM BEACH, FL (TDR) — Conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza urged his audience Monday to stop pushing for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, citing loyalty to President Trump’s political strategy and the need for “maturity” on the right.
The remarks came just days after Trump called on allies to “move on” from the Epstein case—an issue that has drawn attention from both sides of the aisle amid long-standing questions about elite connections and government transparency.
“Is it time to move on from the Jeffrey Epstein case? I want to argue the answer is yes,” D’Souza said on his podcast. “There are unanswered questions, but we’re not going to get more information. The government has closed the case.”

D’Souza acknowledged public frustration over the Epstein investigation but said Republicans should stay disciplined and focus on issues that can “deliver wins” for the broader conservative movement.
“If we’re so obsessed with Epstein that we’re walking out on MAGA,” he said, “then what’s the alternative? Vote Democrat?”
He called for “perspective and maturity” in supporting Trump’s leadership, adding that conservatives should now turn their energy toward challenging President Joe Biden’s executive actions—particularly recent questions surrounding presidential pardons.
D’Souza’s comments came on the heels of a similar statement by Charlie Kirk, the Turning Point USA founder who also backed off the Epstein issue after reportedly speaking with Trump over the weekend.
“I’m gonna trust my friends in the administration… ball’s in their hands,” Kirk said on his show Monday.

The calls to dial back Epstein-related pressure come as some in Trump’s base continue to demand full disclosure. House Democrats like Rep. Ro Khanna have introduced amendments seeking to force Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the files, while others accuse Bondi of backpedaling on earlier promises.
Still, D’Souza argued that winning future elections takes precedence.
“You can’t win ’em all,” he said. “Sometimes you just have to keep your eye on what matters most right now.”
