• Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is urging Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to prosecute Obama-era officials over alleged misconduct during the 2016 election. Gabbard’s statement challenges the DOJ’s findings on Jeffrey Epstein and intensifies political scrutiny within the Trump administration.

WASHINGTON, DC (TDR) — Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued a forceful call Sunday for the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute Obama-era officials, whom she accused of orchestrating a “seditious conspiracy” against President Trump during the 2016 election.

Gabbard’s remarks come amid renewed tensions within the Trump administration following the DOJ’s recent conclusion that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein did not maintain a client list nor engage in blackmail involving public figures—a finding that contradicted earlier assertions by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel.

“There was direct intent to cover up the truth about what occurred and who was responsible,” Gabbard told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures. “This seditious conspiracy was concocted and carried out by a broad network of officials in the Obama administration.”

The Justice Department’s decision to close the Epstein investigation without releasing further files has fueled criticism—not only from the political left but also from President Trump’s populist base. Bondi previously claimed in February that the department had Epstein’s client list “sitting on my desk,” a statement many supporters took as a promise of transparency and accountability.

In recent days, President Trump pushed back against renewed scrutiny from within his own movement, suggesting that certain factions are misplacing their focus.

“Some of these people are pretty bad,” Trump said, “and they’re not doing our country any good.”

Gabbard Demands Accountability

Gabbard, who has positioned herself as a voice for institutional accountability, called on Bondi and Patel to fulfill their responsibilities.

“It is their responsibility to gather all of the evidence,” she said, “and move forward with this prosecution and these indictments.”

Bartiromo pressed her on whether Bondi was the right person to lead the charge.

“So at the end of the day, we need to look at Pam Bondi?” she asked.
Gabbard replied: “Absolutely.”

Her statements reflect growing frustration among segments of the Republican electorate over what they view as continued impunity for political actors involved in the Russia probe and related intelligence operations.

Will this lead to a historic reckoning—or yet another unresolved chapter in the politicization of American justice?
