• CIA Director John Ratcliffe signals possible criminal prosecutions of Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and John Brennan in connection with the Steele Dossier and Crossfire Hurricane. The Durham Classified Annex may soon declassify evidence that could shake the Obama-era intelligence structure and reveal new dimensions of political corruption.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (TDR) — In a striking interview on Sunday Morning Futures, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed the possibility of criminal prosecution against several high-profile Democrats, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey, and former CIA Director John Brennan. Speaking with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Ratcliffe asserted that forthcoming declassified intelligence may expose systemic abuse within the intelligence community and efforts to mislead the American public.

“Part of this was a Hillary Clinton plan,” Ratcliffe said. “But part of it was an FBI plan to be an accelerant to that fake Steele Dossier… pouring oil on the fire, amplifying the lie and burying the truth.”

Deep Roots of the “Russia Collusion Hoax”

Ratcliffe emphasized that the investigation into the origins of Crossfire Hurricane and the Steele Dossier has revealed deliberate disinformation efforts. He described how intelligence officials, under the Obama administration, misused classified tools to influence public perception and damage President Donald Trump’s 2016 candidacy and presidency.

“The truth about the origins of the Russia collusion hoax was hidden from the American people,” he said. “And those same people were already at that point onto their next hoax — the Hunter Biden laptop.”

The CIA chief indicated that declassification recommendations he submitted to the Department of Justice are included in a classified annex to the Durham Report and could lead to new revelations.

Criminal Referrals and Pending Evidence

Ratcliffe’s statements were not speculative. He confirmed that criminal referrals have been submitted to the DOJ, echoing referrals also made by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Both claim key individuals misled Congress and manipulated intelligence assessments.

When Bartiromo asked if statutes of limitation would block future prosecution, Ratcliffe responded:

“John Brennan testified to Durham in 2020, to the House Oversight Committee in 2022. Hillary Clinton testified in 2022. James Comey testified before the Senate in 2020. All within the last five years.”

Ratcliffe insisted this preserved the legal pathway for indictments.

Vindication or Retribution?

Democrats and liberal media outlets have framed these renewed investigations as political vengeance by President Trump. Ratcliffe firmly denied the charge.

“It’s not retribution,” he said. “The people re-elected Donald Trump because they know this was all fake, they know it was a hoax. Now we want to understand how they did it, so it can’t happen again.”

He added that Attorney General Pam Bondi’s DOJ strike force is committed to following proper legal channels.

“We will continue to share the intelligence that supports the ability of our DOJ to make fair and just claims.”

A Growing Divide Over Intelligence Integrity

The controversy reflects a deep rift in public trust toward intelligence agencies. Ratcliffe noted how key figures — Brennan, Comey, and Clapper — “pushed the known fake Steele Dossier” into the intelligence community’s assessments.

Bartiromo questioned whether such acts constituted perjury or criminal conspiracy, and Ratcliffe again pointed to the unreleased Durham Annex:

“Much of the testimony is completely inconsistent with what our underlying intelligence reflects.”

The full declassification process, he said, is not about revenge but “accountability and preventability.”

Meanwhile, Sen. Lindsey Graham sparred with NBC’s Kristen Welker on Sunday, defending Trump-era probes into Barack Obama’s potential involvement. The former president has recently been criticized by both Gabbard and Trump for allegedly authorizing political surveillance against opponents — allegations some believe could rise to constitutional violations.

Next Steps

Ratcliffe’s remarks suggest a new phase in the Trump administration’s effort to restore accountability within the federal intelligence apparatus. With the Durham Annex expected to be unsealed, and referrals made, the Department of Justice now faces pressure to act decisively.

“This was a fraud on the American people and a stain on our country,” Ratcliffe concluded.

Will the Durham Annex finally break the silence — or will accountability be lost in the fog of politics once again?
