LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (TDR) — Right-wing UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell has withdrawn his support for President Donald Trump, going so far as to proclaim the president is the “Antichrist” in a Friday Instagram video that shocked fans and followers who knew him as a vocal Trump supporter.

From supporter to critic

Mitchell, who previously praised Trump enthusiastically, told his followers “I’m not with Donald Trump no more” in the video statement. The mixed martial arts fighter explained that he views the president as a corrupted leader who has lost his way, marking a dramatic shift from his earlier political stance.

“I do not like the guy at all,” Mitchell said. The fighter outlined specific grievances that changed his mind, starting with Trump’s decision not to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein. He expressed frustration that the administration appears to be ignoring the existence of these documents entirely.

Foreign aid concerns

The Little Rock native also criticized Trump’s continuation of foreign aid policies to Israel and Ukraine, arguing that billions in taxpayer dollars are being sent overseas while domestic priorities suffer. Mitchell accused the president of “putting America last,” echoing sentiments he believed Trump campaigned against.

“They’re sending Israel and Ukraine all of our tax dollars just like the numb-nuts before him did,” Mitchell stated, drawing comparisons between Trump and previous administrations.

Perhaps most striking was Mitchell’s religious interpretation of recent events. The UFC fighter directed Christians to read Revelation 13:3, a biblical passage describing the Antichrist as someone who survives a fatal head wound and is miraculously healed, causing the world to marvel.

I want you to get into Revelation 13:3, and I want you to read that verse — yeah, about the Antichrist, about the one who was fatally wounded in the head; then he was miraculously healed and the whole world marveled at him.

Mitchell appeared to reference Trump’s survival of an assassination attempt, drawing parallels between the biblical prophecy and recent events. “Yeah, I do think that Donald Trump is that beast of Revelation 13:3,” he declared.

Admitting deception

The fighter acknowledged his previous support was misplaced, stating Trump “talked a good game” and “tricked me.” Mitchell admitted he was fooled by the president’s campaign promises, demonstrating a willingness to publicly change his position despite potential backlash from fans who share his conservative values.

Mitchell also criticized Trump for blaming beef farmers for rising beef prices, calling the accusation unfair to agricultural workers. “I’m not biased, man,” he insisted, framing his criticism as principled rather than partisan.

Do religious prophecies have a place in modern political discourse, or does this cross a line?
