- Podcaster Young Spray reveals he received additional footage beyond the viral clip that showed prison officer Linda De Sousa Abreu having sex with inmate Linton Weirich at HMP Wandsworth.
- Spray says he couldn’t post the full video because it contained identifying information and explicit content that would have implicated others involved in the June incident.
- The disclosure comes as a new BBC documentary examines whether De Sousa Abreu willingly participated in being filmed or was coerced by inmates.
LONDON (TDR) — The man responsible for leaking a viral video showing a prison officer having sex with an inmate has revealed there was more footage that never saw the light of day.
Podcaster Young Spray disclosed in a BBC documentary that he received additional content beyond what went viral, but chose not to post it because of background conversations and names that could implicate others. The revelation raises new questions about what exactly happened inside HMP Wandsworth last June.
The viral incident and aftermath
Linda De Sousa Abreu was sentenced to 15 months in January after being identified in the explicit clip filmed at the Category B men’s prison in South West London, though she ultimately served only five months. The 30-year-old prison officer admitted to misconduct in public office after engaging in three separate sexual encounters with convicted burglar Linton Weirich.

Young Spray claims he received the video via WhatsApp from someone he knew in jail who instructed him to post it so it would go viral. He noted that De Sousa Abreu was “going mad” in portions of the video he didn’t release, suggesting there was intense activity beyond what the public saw.
Questions about consent and coercion
The BBC documentary Behind Bars: Sex, Bribes and Murder explores whether De Sousa Abreu allowed herself to be filmed willingly or fell victim to prison corruption tactics. A former colleague at HMP Wandsworth explained that inmates often start with small requests and use those favors for blackmail, leading officers deeper into compromising situations.
Shortly after her arrest, De Sousa Abreu publicly stated that going viral was the last thing she wanted and criticized people for monetizing her situation. She maintained that the media twisted the narrative for sensational purposes.
Lasting impact on prison system
Judge Martin Edmunds stated during sentencing that the incident would have ramifications affecting the entire UK prison system, damaging years of work to integrate female officers into male prisons. The governor of HMP Wandsworth said De Sousa Abreu’s actions undid years of efforts to increase male prisoners’ respect for female officers.

De Sousa Abreu’s partner has confirmed she is staying out of trouble and will not return to content creation on OnlyFans or pursue reality television opportunities. The case continues to spark debate about prison corruption, officer vulnerability, and the boundaries between willing participation and coercion behind bars.
Was there more to this story than what the public saw, and should additional footage change how we view the case?
