• Mitchell says “entire world called me a racist” for discussing World War II history
  • January podcast featured claims Hitler was “good guy” trying to “purify” Germany by removing Jews
  • UFC President Dana White called original remarks “dumb, ignorant” and “beyond disgusted”

LAS VEGAS, NV (TDR) — UFC star Bryce Mitchell believes he’s been vindicated for his previous praise of Adolf Hitler in a wildly hateful rant from earlier in the year, declaring in a Wednesday Instagram video that his “intelligence has become a curse.”

Back in January, Mitchell insisted that Hitler was a “good guy” on the first episode of his ArkanSanity Podcast. He claimed he came to that conclusion based on his own “research” that contradicted his “public education indoctrination.” According to Mitchell—who also doesn’t believe in gravity—the former German chancellor’s more erratic behavior was a result of him becoming a meth addict.

“I honestly think that Hitler was a good guy based upon my own research, not my public education indoctrination. I really do think before Hitler got on meth, he was a guy I’d go fishing with. He fought for his country. He wanted to purify it by kicking the greedy Jews out that were destroying his country and turning them all into gays.”

Mitchell also denied the Holocaust occurred and took aim at the LGBTQ+ and Jewish communities, stating Hitler was “kicking the greedy Jews out” who were “gaying out the kids” and “queering out the women.”

Dana White: “Beyond Disgusted”

Predictably, Mitchell received harsh backlash for the comments. Even UFC President Dana White said he was “beyond disgusted” at a press conference following his Power Slap event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“I’ve heard a lot of dumb, ignorant shit in my day, but this one’s probably the worst. Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth, and anyone who tries to take an opposing position is a moron.”

White condemned the comments as “dumb and ignorant” but took no disciplinary action against the featherweight fighter.

“That’s the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform for a lot of dumb, ignorant people.”

Yahoo Sports noted that if Mitchell played on an NFL or NBA team, such comments would almost certainly earn him punishment from the league. In the past, the UFC has fired fighters for less—Miguel Torres was briefly cut from the UFC for paraphrasing a sexual assault joke from a TV show on his Twitter account in 2011.

Mitchell Initially Apologized

Following the intense backlash, Mitchell posted an apology on Instagram in early February.

“I’m sorry I sounded offensive. I definitely was not trying to offend anybody, but I know I did. I know a lot of people died in the Holocaust, and that’s a fact. Hitler did a lot of evil things, I think we can all agree on that.”

The Arkansas native also stated “I’m definitely not a Nazi” in his initial apology.

The controversial remarks cost Mitchell his podcast co-host and sparked widespread criticism across the mixed martial arts community. Mitchell continues hosting “ArkanSanity” as a solo venture.

Fighter Now Claims He Was Right

On Wednesday, Mitchell posted a video on Instagram declaring he had been right all along and expressing no remorse for his original statements.

“The entire world called me a racist because I wanted to talk about the history of WW2… I hate to say I told you so. Sometimes it sucks to be right. I honestly think my intelligence has become a curse. I love the truth. I was right a year ago, and I’m right today.”

Mitchell claimed vindication because “every single podcaster” is now discussing similar historical topics he brought up first.

“I very vividly remember just a year ago the entire world calling me a racist, a bigot, an inbred imbecile because I wanted to talk about the history of World War II. Now, what is every single podcaster on the planet talking about now that I brought it up first?”

The featherweight competitor framed himself as ahead of the curve rather than showing remorse for statements that included his desire to take Adolf Hitler fishing.

Pattern Of Controversial Statements

Mitchell has a history of making controversial and scientifically questionable claims. The devout Christian fighter, born in rural Arkansas, has questioned gravity, claiming mainstream science lies and suggesting forces taught in schools are exaggerated or fabricated.

He has promoted flat-earth ideas, arguing that personal observation outweighs scientific consensus, satellites, physics and centuries of astronomical evidence. Mitchell even labeled Elon Musk evil, accusing powerful elites of deception and control.

In May 2024, Mitchell posted an Instagram video vowing that his then-infant son would not grow up to be a “satanic gay communist.” He frequently brings a Bible to the Octagon, prays publicly, and credits God for victories, discipline, resilience and purpose.

Mitchell first gained attention in December 2023 when he told Tucker Carlson he’d name his then-unborn son “Tucker” and that his son would be “home-schooled and unvaccinated.”

Whether the UFC or his sponsors will respond to Mitchell’s continued embrace of contentious viewpoints remains to be seen. The UFC has not commented on the latest Instagram video.

When a professional athlete publicly praises history’s most notorious mass murderer and later claims vindication rather than maintaining contrition, at what point does a sports organization’s tolerance for “free speech” become enablement of dangerous extremism?
