- Kash Patel says FBI won’t “reject any piece of information” regarding threats against Americans
- Candace Owens claims French president ordered hit squad including Israeli operative to kill her
- FBI director confirms Tyler Robinson is Kirk’s assassin, finds no credible foreign government connection
WASHINGTON, D.C. (TDR) — FBI Director Kash Patel addressed escalating conspiracy theories from podcaster Candace Owens during a Friday interview, stating the bureau would investigate any credible threats against Americans while simultaneously confirming that Tyler Robinson is the sole suspect in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Appearing on The Megyn Kelly Show, Patel was pressed about Owens’ claims that French President Emmanuel Macron authorized her assassination and that French military forces were involved in Kirk’s September killing at Utah Valley University.
Patel: FBI Won’t ‘Turn Away’ From Any Investigation
When asked directly about Owens’ allegations, the FBI director offered a measured response without endorsing her specific claims. “Any American that receives a death threat from overseas or anywhere in America is going to be fully investigated,” Patel stated. “So, we’re not going to turn our eye away from that investigation or any others.”
“We are just looking at everything that comes in. We’re not going to reject any piece of information. If someone feels that their life is being threatened, we are, of course, looking at it.”

However, Patel was unequivocal when asked about foreign involvement in Kirk’s death: “At this time, the FBI doesn’t have credible information to connect any foreign governments to it.”
Owens’ Explosive Allegations
The conservative commentator sparked international controversy last month when she claimed on social media that a “high-ranking employee of the French Government” informed her the Macrons had “executed upon and paid for my assassination.” Owens alleged a hit squad from France’s National Gendarmerie Intervention Group, including “one Israeli,” had been dispatched to kill her.
She further claimed that Kirk’s accused assassin trained with the French Foreign Legion’s 13th brigade, suggesting multi-state involvement in the September 10 shooting. The French Ministry of Armed Forces directly refuted this, telling NewsGuard that Robinson “was never a member of the French Foreign Legion.”

Patel firmly rejected any doubt about Robinson’s guilt in Kirk’s assassination. When Kelly asked if the FBI believes Robinson is “the man who killed Charlie Kirk,” Patel replied simply: “Yes.”
The director also dismissed Owens’ insinuations that Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, had any involvement in his death. When asked if there was credible reason to believe anyone connected with TPUSA played a role, Patel responded: “Zero.”
Robinson, 22, was arrested in September after allegedly shooting Kirk during a campus event. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, citing anti-fascist messages engraved on bullet casings recovered at the scene.
Owens Responds to FBI Silence
The podcaster claimed the FBI has not contacted her despite her allegations. “The FBI left me on read,” Owens stated, adding she had texted “somebody very high up” but received no response regarding her claims about French involvement in Kirk’s murder.
With the FBI finding no foreign government connection to Kirk’s assassination and France denying Owens’ allegations, will her conspiracy theories fade—or continue gaining traction among her followers?
