• FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino issued a public vow to expose public corruption and political abuse of federal powers, hinting at disturbing discoveries that have left him deeply unsettled.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (TDR) — FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino took to social media Saturday with a cryptic and sobering message, declaring he would “never be the same” after what he’s discovered during ongoing federal investigations.

“We cannot run a Republic like this,” Bongino wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “It is a priority for us to stamp out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations.”

While Bongino did not specify the subject of his alarm, his post implied the existence of deep-rooted issues within federal agencies. His statement comes amid lingering questions about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and its handling under previous DOJ leadership.

“What I have learned... has shocked me down to my core,” Bongino added. “We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE.”

Epstein Files at the Center of Tensions

Bongino has been at the forefront of controversy surrounding the FBI’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. Earlier this month, the FBI and DOJ issued a joint memo asserting that Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and that no “client list” exists.

The deputy director’s frustration with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the issue reportedly led him to consider resignation. Despite internal clashes, President Trump told reporters he continues to support Bongino and that the deputy director is in “good shape.”

‘By the Book and In Accordance with the Law’

Bongino reaffirmed his commitment to lawful process, stating that the FBI will conduct “righteous and proper investigations by the book.”

“I cannot predict where [the investigation] will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not ‘my truth,’ or ‘your truth,’ but THE TRUTH,” Bongino wrote.
