DALLAS, Texas (TDR) — A tense town hall featuring Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) erupted into chaos Thursday when BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales was physically removed after hurling pointed insults at the freshman congresswoman.
The confrontation began as Crockett shared personal memories of staying with her grandmother. Gonzales interrupted, shouting that Crockett was a “fake ghetto hoodrat” and a “spoiled rich kid from Missouri.” Audience members quickly shouted her down, with one woman pushing against Gonzales while demanding she leave.
“Don’t touch me! Get her off me!” Gonzales shouted back. Moments later, she repeated her accusations, prompting another attendee to scream directly in her face: “Get out! Get out!” Security then moved in, forcibly escorting Gonzales from the room as she yelled, “Get the f** off me!”*

Outside, police ordered the BlazeTV personality to leave the property or face arrest. Gonzales later posted video of the incident online, writing, “I confronted Jasmine Crockett at a townhall for being a fake hoodrat.”
The volatile exchange underscored longstanding political tensions in Crockett’s district, where she has been both praised and criticized for her combative rhetoric.
Crockett’s critics have frequently cited her past remarks about “mediocre white boys” and her 2024 attack on an FCC official, whom she labeled a “simpleminded, underqualified white man.” Thursday’s incident also saw another conservative activist challenge her from the floor, asking why she was “racist towards white people.”
The town hall disruption adds to a growing list of public confrontations targeting high-profile lawmakers this summer. In Texas, activists from both left and right have increasingly sought to challenge incumbents in public forums, often leading to security interventions.

For Gonzales, the altercation has already become a rallying point for her BlazeTV audience, who view it as a stand against political hypocrisy. For Crockett, it serves as another example of what she calls targeted harassment.
Does this mark a new low for political discourse in public meetings?
