In a significant development, Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee has announced his involvement in vetting claims of assault by over 3,800 individuals against renowned hip-hop figure Sean "Diddy" Combs.
The 54-year-old Combs was apprehended on Sept. 16 by federal authorities and is currently detained in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center facing serious allegations including sex trafficking, engaging others in prostitution, and racketeering.
Buzbee is preparing to file individual civil lawsuits against Combs on various charges such as violence, sexual assault or rape, sexual abuse including that involving minors, use of controlled substances to facilitate sex, unlawful detention, compelling into prostitution, sexual misconduct among others including the sharing of explicit videos without consent.

Out of the numerous claims reviewed so far, Buzbee has officially taken on 120 clients whose allegations he deems credible. These comprise an equal number of men and women with a significant portion identifying as African American. Notably, several victims were reportedly underage at the time of their alleged victimization with incidents largely occurring at high-profile social gatherings across notable cities like Manhattan, Los Angeles, and Miami over the past 25 years.
Buzbee highlighted that drugs played a central role in nearly all assaults reported by his clients. A tranquilizer named Xylazine was frequently mentioned. Victims often recounted being offered drinks laced with substances that incapacitated them leading to their assault. Those who declined such drinks faced expulsion from events or subsequent threats aimed at silencing them.
The range of alleged abuses spans instances where victims were promised career opportunities in exchange for their silence regarding the abuse. Buzbee’s youngest client was just nine years old when subjected to sexual abuse allegedly orchestrated by Combs under the guise of offering a record deal.
Beyond implicating Combs directly, Buzbee asserts that numerous high-profile individuals along with banks, hotels, and pharmaceutical companies will be named in the lawsuits for their roles in either facilitating or covering up these crimes.

As legal proceedings loom on the horizon with plans to file suits within 30 days primarily in New York and California jurisdictions – not as a class action but individually –Combs’ legal representative Erica Wolff has publicly refuted all allegations labeling them as unfounded attacks amidst what they perceive as a media frenzy seeking to undermine Combs’ reputation. Wolff reaffirmed Combs' stance denying any form of sexual abuse including towards minors and expressed confidence in disproving these accusations through due legal process based on factual evidence rather than speculative narratives.
What are your thoughts on the legal proceedings involving Tony Buzbee's accusations against Sean "Diddy" Combs, and how do you believe these high-profile lawsuits will impact the music industry and those involved?
