A Tunisian woman is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing her ex-boyfriend’s credit card and transferring $800,000 worth of TrumpCoin cryptocurrency to herself. The Miami police arrested Maissa Jebali, 22, earlier this month following a complaint from her ex-boyfriend, Michael Anthony Bravo.
The Yacht Argument That Sparked It All
According to the criminal complaint, the drama unfolded on February 8 when the couple argued on Bravo’s yacht. The following morning, Bravo woke up to find Jebali—and his American Express card—gone.
Bravo later discovered unauthorized charges totaling $4,239.44 on his card, including an Airbnb transaction. More concerning, he noticed $800K worth of TrumpCoin had vanished from his cryptocurrency wallet, transferred to an unknown account.

Tracking Her Down
Bravo reported the theft to police on February 12, and by Valentine’s Day, a private investigator located Jebali at a local Miami hotel. Police confirmed her check-in with hotel staff and confronted her at the hotel bar.
When questioned, Jebali told officers, “That loser is my ex-boyfriend; he lets me use his credit card.” She admitted to using the card without permission but denied plans to return to Bravo.
The Legal Fallout
Jebali was initially detained in a Louisiana jail before being transferred to ICE custody in Florida. Her current immigration status remains unclear. However, David Bolton, a private investigator working for Bravo, expressed concerns she could be deported before facing justice.

“There’s a possibility she could be deported with access to the stolen crypto funds,” Bolton told The Independent. He also added, “We’re trying to stop that; we just don’t know if we’ll succeed.”
ICE Enforcement and Next Steps
Under newly expanded ICE powers, expedited removal processes could result in Jebali’s deportation within 48 hours. Her attorney told WTVJ that Jebali plans to bond out of ICE custody and remain until “justice is served.”
As this case unfolds, questions remain about Jebali’s access to the stolen cryptocurrency and the implications of expedited deportation without full legal accountability.
