Arrested in February while stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, Ibarra is now being held in custody, awaiting trial on charges like child sexual exploitation.

Grooming on TikTok and Roblox Exposed

According to authorities, Ibarra first contacted the young victim on TikTok, claiming to be a boy from Texas. Transitioning their conversation to Roblox, a platform heavily used by children, Ibarra allegedly convinced her to send explicit videos and photos. Enticing her with money, he reportedly transferred $191 through Apple Pay across 17 transactions. It’s a chilling reminder of how children can fall prey to predators on social media.

Mother’s Vigilance Leads to Arrest

The girl’s mother uncovered the inappropriate messages, taking action by pretending to be her older sister to gather evidence. She even received a partial selfie from Ibarra, which helped law enforcement confirm his identity. Using his Texas phone number and searching his iCloud account, investigators found evidence supporting the charges. During questioning, Ibarra allegedly admitted to paying for the images, while claiming he thought she was 12.

More Victims Identified, Military Action Pending

Prosecutors revealed that Ibarra also targeted other minors, including a girl from New Jersey. Following his arrest, the Air Force placed him on unpaid status, though it’s unclear what further disciplinary actions may follow.
