Haley Joel Osment, known for his iconic role in The Sixth Sense, has apologized for his behavior during a recent arrest in Mammoth Lakes, California. The 37-year-old actor was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of cocaine, both misdemeanors, after being arrested at a ski lodge last week.

In bodycam footage shared by multiple outlets, Osment can be seen calling an officer a “Nazi” and using an antisemitic slur. Addressing the incident, Osment told People magazine, “I’m absolutely horrified by my behavior. The past few months of loss and displacement have broken me down to a very low emotional place, but that’s no excuse for using this disgusting word.”

The Charges and Legal Process

According to the Mono County District Attorney’s office, Osment is set to be arraigned on July 7. His charges include alleged public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

Personal Struggles and Recent Setbacks

Osment’s sister Emily, also an actor, revealed on her Instagram in January that their family lost their homes in the devastating Eaton wildfire, which destroyed much of Altadena north of Los Angeles.
