- President Trump took aim at House Democrats Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Jasmine Crockett during a Tuesday press gaggle, mocking their intelligence and criticizing a growing association with progressive socialist figures like Zohran Mamdani. Trump’s sharp remarks come as tensions rise over the Justice Department’s Epstein disclosures and broader partisan clashes ahead of 2026.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (TDR) — President Trump didn’t mince words Tuesday morning when addressing reporters on the White House lawn, delivering unscripted jabs at Democratic lawmakers while weighing in on the latest fallout from the ongoing Epstein Files controversy.
Asked about an upcoming breakfast hosted by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani — a self-described democratic socialist — Trump seized the moment to link their agenda to far-left ideology.
“I’d love to meet them both. I really would,” Trump quipped.
“He’s a communist. I don’t think our country is ready for a communist.”

In his wide-ranging response, Trump referenced Ocasio-Cortez’s ties to Mamdani and took a swipe at Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), a frequent critic of Trump on social media and cable news.
“I think she’s very nice, but she’s very low IQ, and we really don’t need low IQ,” Trump said. “Between her and Crockett, we’re going to give them both an IQ test to see who comes out best.”
Trump also praised his own mental fitness, referencing a prior test at Walter Reed Medical Center:
“I aced it. Got every question right. Now it’s their turn.”
