LOS ANGELES, Calif. (TDR) — A viral exchange between MrBeast and 20-year-old OnlyFans creator Sophie has set social media ablaze after the influencer pledged to donate a million dollars to one of the YouTube star’s philanthropic projects. The unexpected gift quickly attracted both admiration and criticism, as detractors branded her earnings “dirty money.”

The Surprise Call

Speaking during a conversation with MrBeast — real name Jimmy Donaldson — Sophie declared: “I would love to donate, I’m just not sure how to — so I’m glad you called me because I wanna donate a million dollars.”

Donaldson, stunned by the claim, asked her to repeat herself. “Wait, wait, wait … did you just say a million?” he said. Sophie confirmed, explaining she wanted her team to coordinate with his to ensure the donation went through. “I’m 100 percent sure, this is an awesome cause,” she added.

Despite her generous gesture, Sophie quickly became the target of social media trolling. Users labeled her contribution “dirty money” due to her high-profile presence on OnlyFans. Unfazed, she hit back on X: “Call it dirty money, but I still donated $1m more than you did. Thank you for the opportunity #TeamWater.”

A Content Empire

Sophie is among the most recognizable names in the subscription-content world, with millions of followers on TikTok, Instagram, and X. She first went viral in 2024 after publishing screenshots of her jaw-dropping revenue, prompting debate about the scale of her success.

At one point, fellow OnlyFans star Camilla Araujo revealed staggering monthly sums earned on the platform, further fueling the conversation. Though skeptics claimed Sophie exaggerated her profits, she frequently produced screenshots as proof of subscription payments.

In late 2024, she claimed a gross income of $43 million in just twelve months, including a single supporter who allegedly spent $4.7 million on exclusive content. By summer 2025, she posted updated figures showing $76 million in gross revenue — much of it earned, she noted, “without even having to speak to them.”
