WASHINGTON, D.C. (TDR) — Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) revisited the roots of her feud with political firebrand and Trump ally Laura Loomer during an interview on The Megyn Kelly Show Tuesday, pointing to Loomer’s second failed congressional campaign as the breaking point.
When Kelly asked Greene about her contentious relationship with Loomer, the congresswoman replied bluntly: “No, we don’t get along.” She explained that the pair were once friendly, dating back to 2017 and 2018, but their relationship soured after Loomer’s decision to run against Daniel Webster in Florida’s 11th district.
From Friends to Rivals
Greene said she had initially supported Loomer’s political ambitions. “When she ran for Congress the first time, I endorsed her, donated to her, supported her,” Greene recalled. But Loomer’s decision to challenge Webster in 2022 — despite warnings it was an unwinnable fight — drove a wedge between them.

“I said, ‘Hey, Laura, I don’t think you should run against Daniel Webster. I don’t think you can beat him,’” Greene explained. “Why don’t you jump to another district where there’s an open seat and you’ll have a much better shot?”
Loomer refused. “She said no. She would not listen to anybody and ran there,” Greene said. “So, I said, you know, I can’t get involved. I’m not going to endorse against him. I’m going to stay out. Well, she was furious at me, and then everything kind of plummeted from there.”
Escalating Tensions
The feud quickly escalated beyond politics. Loomer has frequently accused Greene of hypocrisy and betrayal, taking to X to allege corruption and alleged affairs. At one point, Loomer wrote that Greene’s husband left her because she “couldn’t stop bending over for multiple men.”
Greene, in turn, accused Loomer of targeting not just her but other staunch Trump loyalists. “Not only does she attack me all the time, she attacks Matt Gaetz all the time. She attacked Brian Jack, who used to work for President Trump. She attacks some of the most loyal people to the president, people that are unapologetically America First,” Greene said. “Those of us that fight the hardest, for some reason she attacks us the most.”
Broader Implications for the MAGA Movement
The rift underscores a broader fracturing within the MAGA movement. While Greene has maintained her place as one of Trump’s most visible defenders in Congress, Loomer has leveraged her outsider status to launch attacks against fellow conservatives she deems disloyal or compromised.
Such divisions raise questions about how Trump’s allies will navigate the upcoming election cycle. With Republicans seeking to expand their majority, public infighting between high-profile figures like Greene and Loomer risks undermining party cohesion at a crucial moment.
A Feud with Staying Power
The personal animosity suggests the feud will not dissipate soon. Loomer continues to command a loyal following online, while Greene retains influence within the House GOP. Both remain deeply tied to President Trump, though in sharply different ways.

As Greene made clear, the bitterness between them is more than political strategy — it’s personal. And in a movement built on loyalty to one figure, that tension may foreshadow deeper struggles over who gets to define what it means to be “America First.”
