President Trump dismissed rising gas prices as "peanuts" Tuesday, even as his economic approval hit a new low of 37 percent. With AAA showing the national average at $4.53 per gallon, voters are feeling the squeeze ahead of the 2026 midterms. "This is peanuts. I appreciate everybody putting up with it for a little while. But I don't even think about it. What I think about is you can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon," Trump told reporters at the White House.
