E2250: US-Iran Ceasefire: Does One Actually Exist Right Now? 4/23

A US-Iran ceasefire technically exists. Pakistan brokered it April 8, and Trump extended it April 21 pending Tehran's counter-proposal. But many doubt it's real. Both sides have already violated it, the US naval blockade on Iran's ports remains in place — which Iran calls a ceasefire violation and refuses to negotiate under — and Trump has given Tehran just 3–5 days to engage before resuming attacks. A truce on paper, a standoff on the ground, and a clock running down fast.
